aa) Social media plugins
We use social media plugins from the following providers on www.lynxes.de:
-
Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook Like Button” and “Instagram Button”)
-
Twitter Inc., Attn: Privacy Policy Inquiry, 1355 Market Street, Suite 900, San Francisco, CA 94103 (“Twitter Button”)
-
XING SE, Dammtorstraße 30, 20354 Hamburg (“Xing button”)

bb) How the data collection works technically
The following explanation applies to all social media plugins that you can use on www.lynxes.de.
We use the so-called Shariff method. As a result, when you visit our website, the "social media button" is deactivated ("greyed out"). This means that no data is transferred from your browser to the social media provider. Only when you activate the "social media button" by clicking will your browser establish a connection with the servers of the social media provider. The social media provider then receives the information that you have visited our site and with which IP address. If you are already logged in as a member of the respective provider, the social media provider assigns this information to your personal user account with the respective social media provider. When using the "social media button" (e.g. clicking the button, making a comment), the corresponding information is transmitted directly from your browser to the social media provider and also assigned to your user account with the respective social media provider and processed there.
